Parallel Experiment Connection Issues
We're very sorry that you experienced connection issues.
Most players can connect normally. Small portion sometimes experience issues, and it looks like it’s region-related and not caused by our servers. Something between their computer and our servers is interrupting the connection. Most often it’s regional restrictions. Sometimes it an overzealous antivirus, a buggy router, or your ISP.
Here are a few things you can try:
1. Select a different region.
Select the “East Asia” or a different server when starting the game (on the player selection screen).
2. Disable your antivirus.
Check if your antivirus is blocking the connection. We’ve seen cases where tools like Malwarebytes incorrectly flag the game.
3. Network issues
Try switching networks, even to 3G or a mobile hotspot. This can help if your router or ISP is the issue.
4. Use a VPN
Use a VPN, but make sure it’s EU- or US-based (e.g., Proton VPN). Local VPNs might be affected by the same regional restrictions, so they often don’t help.
5. DPI Bypass
A few players mentioned that using a DPI bypass helped, but it’s something we’d only recommend for the most tech-savvy users.
Summary
We've noticed that players from Russia often have trouble connecting to our servers, and unfortunately it's beyond our control. There are government-level systems in place that block certain types of connections to servers outside Russia. We've implemented many workarounds to minimize these issues, including better global server distribution, but the restrictions keep changing, and it's become a constant game of whack-a-mole.
Very sorry again for the trouble, and thank you for your patience! If the problem persists, please contact us at [email protected], or join our Discord server for support. We're here to help!
